Steelers practice squad Pittsburgh makes 8 signings official

The are half of the way to filling up their 2024 practice squad, as the team announced the Roger Maris Jersey  signings of eight players on Thursday.According to the , defensive backs Anthony Averett, Zyon Gilbert and Thomas Graham Jr., defensive lineman Jacob Slade, fullback Jack Colletto, linebacker Marcus Haynes, running back Jonathan Ward and tight end Rodney Williams were all signed to the practice squad. All eight players were on Pittsburgh's offseason roster.Graham is the most notable name on that list, as it once looked like he might be  Jedd Gyorko Jersey in line for the starting slot cornerback job after he saw first-team reps there in recent weeks. However, he didn't even make the initial 53-man roster, which was a surprise.Ward also looked Enos Slaughter Jersey  to be on his way to making the 53-man roster early on in training camp after routinely standing out in practice, but an injury forced him to mi s a chunk of time, hurting his cause. The Steelers currently have three backs on their active roster in Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and Cordarrelle Ozzie Smith Jersey  Patterson.According to , the Steelers signed offensive lineman Doug Nester, wide Albert Pujols Jersey  receiver Brandon Johnson and running back Boston Scott to the practice squad, but those moves were not announced.
